MVHO has long recognized that to truly serve the housing needs of vulnerable citizens in our community, we must offer a variety of housing programs tailored to the unique challenges of various groups of people.
Who do we house? As you will see on the pages describing our specific housing programs, a client in MVHO housing has likely experienced homelessness. He or she may suffer from mental illness, substance addiction, or physical disabilities. (Though we cannot serve those whose needs are severe enough to require a group home setting.) He or she may be a veteran, elderly, or medically frail. The vast majority of MVHO tenants have income levels too low to afford safe, decent housing at full market rates. All of our tenants come to us looking for a second chance at improving their lives.
As you review our housing program information, please note that potential tenants for most programs must be referred to us by one of our partner agencies.
