Miami Valley Housing Opportunities (MVHO) is seeking candidates for a City Outreach Specialist.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct client services to assure that unsheltered, homeless individuals, homeless veterans, and chronically homeless individuals that struggle with behavioral health, substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders gain access to case management, benefits, permanent housing and appropriate behavioral health and substance abuse supports. Perform other duties as assigned.


A completed education in Mental Health, Social Work, or another related area is preferred.  A high school diploma or GED is required.  Preference is given to applicants that have personal experience with serious and persistent mental illness, substance abuse, homelessness, and/or veteran status.  Must be willing to work odd and irregular hours. Must be capable of working with minimal supervision.  Must possess and drive an insured motorized vehicle.
